Demlane Farm was originally a dairy. We have refitted the sheds to be able to house our sheep at need. This provides a safe environment in bad weather.

We border two national parks and our sheep are protected by guardian dogs.

  • The Farm has a Wildlife Refuge Agreement with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust

  • Dedicated wildlife corridors connect areas of rainforest and riparian vegetation

  • Wetland areas are being reclaimed from grazing, fenced and re-planted

  • Orchard and asparagus beds are managed without spraying

  • Pasture is improved through aeration and application of natural fertiliser products
